We tried Susanna's yesterday as we'd never been there before so decided to go in for our anniversary meal.

As well as a main menu there was a set menu for 2 and a menu for steak on hot plate. Set menu for 2 was $398 + 10% and the steak on hot plate prices varied. We both settled on the lamb rack which were $158 each, plus service charge of course.

This started with a soup - I had the borscht and and my wife the cream soup. This is when I started worrying about how the meat would be. Sadly my fears were justified. The lamb came out, and looked terrible. Marinated and huge chunks of fat, and served with frozen chips, frozen sweet corn and one single broccoli floret. It was more Steak Expert than small cozy restaurant. Not nice at all. Luckily I had asked for the garlic butter on the side and not on the meat itself as that was cooked garlic mixed with what looked like lard. There is a choice to change that to a black pepper or similar sauce, which would be terrible with lamb.

We also had a drink in the price and finish with ice cream, choice of sesame or mango. We had to chase them to get this!

Total bill was $370 in total.

The restaurant itself has a nice cozy atmosphere but the food is very localised. I won't be going back.

I have dined here many times with the food of acceptable albeit expensive quality. I've even had a drink with friends even more times. However this evening was my last ever visit.

We were looking for a family meal before we walked home and unfortunately the better quality and cheaper priced restaurant in the square we normally use was fully booked. So we walked across and were tempted by the set meal for 2 and kids meals. First thing was that the air con was at summer power so we had to go upstairs to feel normal.

We ordered our food only to be told the set meal was Monday to Friday only. It doesn't mention this anywhere in the menu or anywhere in the restaurant. The only alternative was to order from the extremely overpriced menu. Classic bait and switch and this isn't Nathan Road. Our kids were so hungry we ordered kids meals only, we refused to eat overpriced food on a con. So no drinks, no adult orders. I took cash including the stupid 10%, didn't even wait for a bill. Paid and left. What was to be a family meal completely ruined. If I was to feed the kids at that quality I would have just taken the to McD for a third of the price and equivalent quality.

So myself I will never go back for food or a drink.

This was the second time I had come here, the first was a disappointment so I wondered if a few months later it had improved.

The truth? No it has not. I tried the burger and I was asked how I would like it cooked - medium as always. And so it came out and looked ok, if a little small. However as mentioned elsewhere it was certainly not made from prime beef, more like fatty parts of cheap beef. Which is a shame - there was no actual real taste in the meat but plenty of chewy fat. The fries were ok, if a little dry. What has improved is that it is only an extra dollar for a cold drink now.

My wife took the spicy noodles and chicken wings which were a little better although overcooked and noodles were soggy. Despite asking for her free coffee half way through it did not arrive and she had to ask again when she finished.

Any positives? Well they seem to have dropped the prices on the menus, which to be honest were always high and now are more "reasonable". The place is clean and not overcrowded. It's the food that requires the work now.

I wont go back unless they overhaul the food which is a shame as Mega Box is now beginning to really pull in customers.

When I moved to Sai Kung I was told that this was a great place to get a coffee and I should visit. It took me a few weeks before I could and well I was told right.

I pop by this place regularly now, particularly for the great double espresso which at $25 isn't bad value at all. It certainly knocks the socks off of Starbucks and it's "chain" coffee's - which for some strange reason people seem to feel makes them cool.

Like another reviewer on here I've had the noodles and duck breast which I'm not really going to comment on as to be honest it's hard to review instant Nissin noodles which I also make at home!

For coffee affectionado's though give this place a try. It's quiet, service is friendly and offers the right ambiance to relax with your drink.

Well we only moved to Sai Kung from elsewhere in Hong Kong a few months ago and have been trying a few restaurants around and this was on the list. As it my birthday then it seemed the perfect opportunity to give it a bash!

First location, well it was evening time so you are not really able to see the harbour but that's not an issue as we live with a full harbour view anyway! I didn't drive out there as I knew I'd want a drink so we grabbed a taxi over which is very quick. On arriving there at around 7pm we were asked if we had made a reservation, which we had, and we were taken up to the first floor and chose a table by the edge. Obviously it was covered as a bit cold! Now the waiting staff there are attentive but not annoyingly so.We quickly received the menus and were informed of the soup of the day and other starters. We first ordered our drinks and after scanning the menu decided on a Rack of Lamb for me at $220 and my wife had Fish and Chips at $138.

Astonishingly we were served both dishes within 10 minutes, superb service and both were cooked perfectly. Now my only little gripe. The rack of lamb is not really a rack at all, rather 3 lamb chops although thick lamb chops at that. The frites that are part of the dish do seem hardly worthwhile, however the dish itself was superb. Cooked perfectly medium as requested the lamb literally melted in the mouth. The roasted garlic and herb cherry tomatoes and mushroom were perfect, just cooked enough to bring that taste out of the tomato. My wife's fish and chips? Well good thick large chips, it's great to see this restaurant hasn't gone down the route so many slip down of serving french fries. The cod was perfectly cooked again and was another melt in the mouth experience. If anything the batter was a little thick in places but it was cooked nice and crisp. I was a little disappointed I didn't have the fish and chips myself as they are easily the best I've tried in Hong Kong as yet, and that is over many years.

Total bill including drinks was $501 which is very reasonable given the quality of food. In all I'd recommend this place, it's some of the best real western food around. I'd go again for certain and the fish and chips are already marked for my next return!

We took a Sunday evening out with the 2 kids to go and visit this place. Started with a bit of a problem as the youngest was only 2 months old so after walking there with a pushchair we found no seats available downstairs.

However we dragged everything upstairs (actually would have been nice to have had a little help carrying 2 young kids and a pushchair and all the assorted paraphernalia that goes with that).

Service once seated was pretty good, although sometimes we had to wait several minutes for someone to come, they seemed more interested in the downstairs. We ordered the full platter which was huge and easily fed us all - in fact was too much. But wanted to give it a go. Meats cooked beautifully and certainly went down well. We had the heated peanuts while waiting and a nice cold beer (well I did and the wife had something fruity).

Once finished it took quite a while for someone to come up so we could pay the bill, again a pain with 2 youngsters and again we had to drag everything downstairs again with no help.

So overall a good experience, unfortunately they need to be a bit more customer focused but this is a place to recommend.
