The seating here is quite squashed, but I don't blame them, it's HK and it's in a renovated old building with lots of pillar. Anyway the place is cute enough and at least they put some effort in making the place a bit cozy. Onto the food - had some savoury and sweet crepes. Overall quite impressed by the taste, but slightly overpriced as the ingredients involved aren't that special/expensive. All you need is a good batter and a good cooking tool and you are good to go! W...

madmadmad The food here is actually not bad, in terms of taste. But portion and quality of ingredients wise, not so much. But I'm here to review their SERVICE which is so unbelievably... bad. Quite inconceivable really. Let's talk about the food first - the spicy soup noodle with seafood chopstick LOTS of noodles but not much sea food and the broth is just full of oily sauce that's not flavorful. Just oil. And the seafood is not so fresh, e.g. shrimps that are mushy etc....

I'm writing reviews for 2 separate visits - 1 is curry buffet lunch and the other 1 is for dinner. Curry buffet lunchchopstick - great if you like curry; kind of terrible if you don't tongue There's chicken curry, fish curry (although mostly just potatoes..), beef curry, vegetables curry. There are also some naan and papadaum, and of course some chutney and different sauces on the side. There was also some sauteed veggies and a very brief salad bar that's needless to mention. Some de...

A little Shanghainese noodle/rice place in the neighborhood. Not too many choices on the menu, which is why they are able to churn out orders fast with consistent quality and keep the price low. They have the usual stereotypical noodles / veggie rice dishes. Tried the chicken and veggie soup noodleschopstick, not bad small pieces of skinless chicken, would prefer some more veggie pieces. Also ordered the preserved veggie and pork slices soup noodles chopstick decent enoughm meat slices a bit fatty ...

Yumyum! Had the 3 courses dinner. ASparagus with crabmeat, quite cheesy and rich. Delicious. Btw the bread they provide is not bad. Nice crunch with soft center. For main course I had the duck leg confit which was surprisingly good! Nice crispy skin and the leg meat was flavorful~ smile For dessert, a bit disappointed with the souffle.. had the ginger flavor and it wasn't very well made. Service is quite good. Courteous staff. Will def come back and try their other entree...

Saw some review in newspaper and decided to give this place a try. The only thing going for them is the TV show newspaper cut out and signs all over the restaurant, just in case you missed that their chef competed on the TVB show. Order a cold mixed vermicelli noodles with beef salad. The portion is SO small I thought they were kidding. shocked I have been to many viet restaurants in HK and had many "low mong" and I couldn't believe what was in front of me!! Just some cold ...

This place is a bit out of the way, but decided to give it a try. Staff aren't particularly friendly when we walked in, sort of gave us a rude and hurried feeling sad even though the place was only half occupied. Their menu includes congee dishes, noodles, some rich dishes and some side dishes. The wood ear appetizer chopstickis crunchy, slightly oily but acceptable. The deep fried brisket snack dishchopstick although it looked great the taste was only average. The fish congeechopstick consistency is unde...

I always get confused when I get here.. coz I can't decide what kind of topping, what kind of noodles and what kind of sauces to pour on top!! Their Sa Cha sauce is one of my fav!! Sa Cha sauce goes the best with "mei seen" Another fav combo of mine would be udon with oyster sauce. Their curry sauce is a bit spicy and very flavourful! smile Topping wise.. for lettuce they pour soy sauce over it. Salted cherry tomato is of a small portion. Sugar peas are nice and fresh...

During week day lunch times, impossible to get seats, so always take away! Plenty of options. The famous fried egg roll I never ordered, but tried many other toppings, like beef tendons, fishballs, veggies, dumplings, etc. The soup base is a bit on the oily side compared to other "fun meen" places like "kiu heung yuun" nearby (which is why I prefer that place) The wait for the takeaway line could be a bit long so a lot of people actually call about 15 mins ahead of time and col...

Tried the TST branch awhile ago, which was pretty decent. Hence I was so shocked when my lunch was SO TERRIBLE. Order the dry mixed noodles "lo mong" with lemon grass beef. But guess what? The beef wasn't lemon grass viet style but it was chinese wok stir fry style shocked which wouldn't be soo bad unless it wasn't SO oily with a puddle of oil swimming at the bottom!! huffy I couldn't believe and the beef sort of "smells funny" as well.. gosh I'm so glad ...
