To celebrate a peaceful weekday, yes, this is a reason to enjoy a fine meal at Caprice.

We arrived early to enjoy a glass of Champagne and Bellini at the bar area. We looked so relax, especially there were a few businessmen around talking about work...I like the atmosphere there, to allow a "transition" period between work (or big shopping) and dinner.

The menu is called Forest and River, yes...seafood and poultry. My sister dosen't eat beef, so it perfectly fits her.

Pâté en Croûte de Colvert de ChasseDuck Pâté with Confit Autumn Fruit, it looked like a toast, quite interesting. This is very good to serve the purpose of an appetizer, nice presentation and stimulates our taste buds.

Les Ecrevisses Pattes RougesRed Clawed Crayfish and Wild Mushrooms in Black Ink Cannelloni. The roll is made of the black ink cannelloni, this one is quite tasty with the sauce.

Quenelle de Poule FaisanneThis is a Poultry Soup with Roasted Chestnuts and Mousseline; it is very creamy and have strong taste of chestnuts. I love it.

Omble ChevalierPoached Arctic Char Lakefish with Root Vegetables and Chignin Emulsion. Similar to salmon but with mild flavor.

Noisette de ChevreuilVenison Fillet from Sologne, north-central France. Dish of hunting meat, with Pumpkin, Celeriac, Burgundy Black Truffle and Sangria Sauce. It has a fine texture and rich flavour. This is my favourite dish.

La Figue de SollièsSolliès Figs, Fresh Hazelnuts, Noisettes Cream and Mizuna Sorbet. This dessert is a bit complicated for me.

Made reservation a week ago to book the window seats. All windows seats have minimum charge of $500 person, and based on their pricing of food, it's reasonable. Located on 30th floor, you can enjoy the nice view and the light show there.
We ordered some drinks before dinner; they prepared the siraitia grosvenorii tea (罗汉果茶) which is quite nice. Cocktails from eye bar are not that good as expected.
We ordered the Duck’s tongue with XO chili sauce and Sliced clam with spring onion as starters. The dick's tongue was very delicious, but the clam was just ok, quite fresh to match with some onion but not that special.
Corn and fresh crabmeat soup, a lot of crab meat there.
Looked at the lobster dishes, rather over-priced so we ordered the King prawn served in bang sauce instead. It served as per pax, with mini fried bread (馒头). This one a highly recommended, all of us gave thumbs up. The sauce was very delicious; the fried mantou didn't look special but tasty.
to match with the "seafood" theme, we ordered the Braised grouper brisket with tofu as another main course. Temperature, sauce, portion were all perfect. I'm not really craving for brisket but cooking with tofu, which was very good.
Pan-fried black pork with soy is another Chef recommended dish there. The presentation was good, but be frank, nothing special. Sautéed asparagus with mushrooms and garlic was not bad, but a little bit too oily.
We tried the cheese cake with sorbet and walnut cream, one traditional and one fancy. I preferred the traditional one; the cheese cake was just fine.

Overall service was fine. Just needed to remind them not to rush, because they served dishes too fast at the beginning.

Heard of many good comments of the art menu, and finally got an available timeslot to enjoy it.
I had afternoon tea at Sevva before that and my friend also had afternoon tea, so we decided to have the Gourmet Tour instead of Experience Tour, which includes 9 courses. Proven that this was a wise decision, both of us were very full before having the last dessert.
To start, a beautiful presentation of olive jelly and cheese, which achieved the purpose of excellence opening. Followed by crab leg salad, crab meat salad wrapped in a small piece of shell, quite good and refreshing.
Caesar salad, looked very attractive like a pot plant with sesame and nuts as "soil", some ham and the sauce, frozen to be become power, let it melt slowly on the leaves....very nice.
Foie Gras, always my favourite but trying to cut down because the production process is known to be cruel. Taste was good for sure but the portion was rather big.
Bacon and egg, not for breakfast. A lady chef prepared it in front of you, like creating an art piece, step by step, using a plate with "grass" as the frame. The bacon was very good, not cured as what we usually have for breakfast but still leaving a layer of fat there, it tasted so good, melted in my mouth.
Seafood was turbot, presented on upper layer of plate with pebble on lower layer. There was a crispy baby crab, crab meat, mussel and mushroom as "yummy decoration".
...already felt very full....
Time to have cheese...Wow! So many gourmet cheese for selection...and we hardly picked 4 out of over 15 choices. Indeed a difficult decision because all looked so good. One of it is called Brillat-Savarin, soft, not too salty.
Soufflé, several flavours available and I chose raspberry and my friend chose mango. Very good, but we could only finished half. There was the very last beautiful dessert, another "pot plant" using green tea cake as the "grass", nuts as the "pebble and rocks", dark chocolate as "beetle" and candies as "flowers".

Together with the red wine and Champagne, Perfect!

Overall atmosphere was very good, service was excellent!

We have 6-7 people, happy dinner gathering. That was my first time having buffet at Peninsula, tried once for brunch at the Repulse Bay one.

Nice place, very comfortable decoration. We ordered pinot grigio to start, and they have 2 types of oysters, Coffin-Bay from Australia and another one from South Africa.  Big area of seafood serving scallops, shrimps, crabs, fresh and sweet; especially the scallops and crabs.....next to it is the Japanese corner serving Sashimi, salmon, tuna sushi and some rolls. Not having hundred of varieties but high quality ones.

Cheese if you like cheese, you will be very happy.

The quality of hot dishes was very good too. I tried the roasted beef, lamb and some others, all are quite delicious.

Dessert is something you can't miss there. Ice-cream, I think we had 2 scoops each, plus cheese cakes, chocolate cakes....and they served everyone souffle Happy ending!

I love pasta and happy to find this cafe nearby.
Looks different from other small local restaurants along this street, nicely decorated.
Excellent customer services, family owned, a father and his daughter, and very important, Chef is the Filipino maid.
Can't say the food quality is excellent, but quite good enough for this small cafe. Usually they have 7-8 choices of pasta sets for lunch and dinner, same price. Sets include standard drink or you can pay extra for mocha or latte, etc.
They have home-made sweet corn soup and spinach soup. I prefer the sweet corn soup, rich and smooth; the spinach soup looks oily. The bowl can be smaller, actually the portion is not small but the bowl is too large and the shape doesn't really look nice.
Spaghetti bolognese and carbonara are two basics to test the food quality. Spaghetti bolognese is quite good, HOT! Portion of ingredients are very good, with mushroom and onion, yummy. Carbonara can be better, not that creamy and the bacon they used is tasteless, making the whole carbonara taste boring.They have vegetarian choices, spinach with either cream or tomato sauce. Taste is ok, but if they can make the spinach in smaller pieces will be much better.
Salmon with cream and black truffle sauce is ok, but black truffle is just a gimmick because it has no truffle taste at all. The chicken fillet one is not bad. Surprise one is the beef one in black pepper and tomato sauce, very good. I don't really like beef+spaghetti, but this one is recommended.
Haven't tried their dessert, maybe next time. Coffee, ...ok, not bad.

One chef cooking in a small kitchen, so usually need to wait around 10-15 minutes for your order to be served.

I've had dinner at this restaurant for many times, usually ordered a la carte menu, suckling pig, seafood platter are always my favourite.

This was the first time I order dinner sets. Not bad combination, mix of Japanese and Western cuisine. Didn't take pictures of all dishes but presentation was nice.

Wagyu beef sushi were very pleasing as appetizer, good quality of marbled texture and tenderness. 3 pcs perfect portion to share with friend.

Followed by lobster bisque, smooth but not too creamy, little black truffle to enhance the favour, just perfect

Angel hair with mixed vegetables, the portion was rather too big, presentation could be better (compared with the other beautiful dishes). The dessert was a wonderful experience, forgot it's name, very delicious.

My friend ordered similar set starting with salad instead, not bad. But I still prefer my wagyu beef sushi.

Service there is always pleasant, tables are not sqeezed.

Authentic...classic...romantic...sweet....so special to arrange our small CNY eve dinner at Chesa.

Service is excellent, hearty....真的好亲切. The interior is nothing really grand but very Swiss, cozy and comfortable.

I was craving for cheesy meal, so almost everything we ordered were cheese and cheese and cheese

Before appetizer, a basket of very nice bakery to start...I missed that, so nice....
Crab meat pancake with lobster-Armagnac cappuccino. we shared so each of us had a small piece, very delicious one, lobster armagnac matched very well with the crab meat, tasty but not override.

Raclette du Valais, hot melted cheese with potato; kind of signature dish here.

Fondue...for sure! We had the one with Champagne, perfect!

Roasted pork tenderloin and belly, which was the one made me feel so touched....don't know how to describe but really delicious. The tenderloin was crispy and the fat in between was melting in the mouth...

We were so satisified and full, only ordered one dessert to share...Passionfruit mille-feuille with mango sherbet, very nice one, plus some Swiss chocolate offered by the waiter. Happy meal!

Apart from Champagne to celebrate CNY eve, the bellini and mango mojito were very good.

Meeting up with 2 other friends for dinner. Desired to have something light but interesting...Read about this restaurant in magazine, none of us have tried so we made reservation...everywhere requires reservation in advance in HK nowadays, even like this one.

They have 2 locations, one smaller cafe on the other side and this larger branch. Interior design is indeed interesting, well matched with it's name "Gallery".

Service was very poor, since I entered the restaurant. One waitress kept chit chat with customers/her friends near the entrance, she saw me waiting for seats arrangement but ignored...the other 2 standing in the bar area, nothing else to do but no response until I walked in a bit till the end of the bar area, suddenly another waitress stopped me, and asked for my reservation info. She is foreigner, but no excuse to give a long face all the time....

We were all carrying happy faces ....however, the waitress looked so unhappy, no smile at all when she took our orders. We didn't ask any question, just quickily told her what we would like to have. I didn't understand why she felt so annoyed to serve. When our dishes arrived, we asked for black pepper...she gave us napkin.. she said she thought we asked for "paper"....unbelievable.

Anyway, food is just so so, nothing really impressed. Eggs Benedict with parma ham, it's acceptable but not really delicious. The toasts were cold. Fries with cheese was rather disappointed. All day breakfast, pasta and the other main course of sausage, only acceptable, not worth of the price at all.

The only one I enjoyed was the rose tea latte....

Buffet is always my family's first choice because it fits everyone. I always focus in the seafood area, the other 2 focus in hot dishes and dessert respectively

The layout is very clear, one side is the food tables, the other side is seating area. Tables are not sqeezing together to offer a spacious envrionment.

Oysters and lobsters seem the must-have items in buffet. Yes, my favourite too.... The chef give every single customer 3 oysters each time, the others like lobsters, mussels, shrimps, crabs are placed in medium size bowl alogn the table. Presentation is quite nice, not using big tray to give a fresh and frequent re-filling sense.

Cold cut and cheese are always on my list. Choices of ham and cheese are good enough, decent ones.Waters give each customer foie gras, hot and yummy, much better than putting out there.

Japanese corner offers standard choices of sashimi and some rolls are quite interesting. Not badI like the broccoli, so sweet and the scallops are quite tasty too.The best item in dessert corner was ice-cream 3 scoops please milk pudding is not bad

Friends gathering, we have 15 people, gathering of whatever reason. The host organized this event and put "Tai Hing Private Kitchen" as venue info...with detailed address, no one had idea of what is it exactly until we arrived.

When I arrived that street by taxi, I saw the very familiar name Tai Hing, but it said it's Private Kitchen in the event info, so I was wondering....(same as all other friends), a waitress came out and asked, am I a guest of xxx? OMG, we are having gathering at Tai Hing?!

They have a VIP room on 1/f, nice setting like a Chinese restaurant (Tai Hing to me is a 茶餐厅, a place serving BBQ pork), this was the very first surprise.

The host asked me to bring Bollinger, honestly , I felt so werid when I knew we were going to have dinner at Tai Hing. We would be too cool to have Bollinger there...But, after the food were served...that's a right choice!

suckling pig, roast goose and BBQ Pork are Must-have, no doubt for the good quality. The 3rd dish, 佛跳墙， was very impressed. The bowl was fully packed, and it had everything should have there...so good. One of my friends was asking how many dishes to go after this, the answer was 9 plus dessert....then everyone slowed down and didn't finished the ingredients but only the soup, we would have felt very full if we finished it.

Followed by several dishes of seafood, including 龍躉, cooked in 2 styles and geoduck 象拔蚌, scallops, so delicious

Another amazing spot was how they presented the mixed vegetables; it looked like a birthday cake! Upon our special request for sure!

The steam rice with preserved meat was so yummy, very high quality. Homemade dessert, a happy-ending

Service was excellent! Free corkage and the waiters never urged us to finish faster even we almost finished the dinner at mid-night.
